Manitanwaning a great quiet stop!

We just enjoyed a three day stay in Manitawaning.. the weather was bad and we went down the bay and had a quiet time in this marina.
... the marina is being run for the town by Troy helped by his sister Jill. They don't use the radio much, don't read their email but respond with a cellphone call. the docks are short 30 feet.but were ok for our 38 foot sailboat. there is now drinking water and hydro on the docks.
The marina has free laundry including a dryer and detergent if you need some. we needed to get our small propane tank filled ..the only place is in 'Wiki' the local first nations town. We had no way to get there but Jill kindly offered to drive us. The local pub restaurant has closed and the take out fast food place looked closed as well, however Loco-Beans a coffee shop/restaurant had excellent cold and hot drinks, pizza, sandwiches, baked goods, and ice cream.(butter tarts were great)
The museum in town us worth a visit as is the Anglican church and its historical plaque.
Valumart is the grocery store.. canned, dry food and neat were ok prices.. there was, however only a small selection of fresh vegetables and fruits at quite high prices.
